Grade 12 Information

COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY INFORMATION FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS

1. Distribution of  OUInfo flyer (Ontario University info) and Ontario College info.  (Sept.)
2. College/ University presentations.  Please visit the binder in Student Services to sign up or the Grade 12 NCVLE for opportunities .
3. Scholarship information is posted in the Grade 12 NCVLE.  Also, listen to the daily announcements.
4. Credit counseling sheets will be distributed to all potential graduates (Sept.)
5. Assembly to provide instructions on how to apply to college or university. (early Nov.)
6. Grade 12 Post Secondary transition interview (Oct.-Dec)
7. OSAP information assembly (May)

Important Dates...

University

• January 15, 2024 – deadline for Ontario secondary school students to apply to OUAC.
• May 29, 2024 – latest date by which you can expect a response from an Ontario university.
• June 3, 2024 – University acceptance offer deadline.

Note:  Universities require ENG 4U and a total of six grade 12 U or M level courses for admission. Some programs have math and science requirements as well.

College

• February 1, 2024– deadline for applications to be given equal consideration by the colleges.
• May 1, 2024 – applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission by this date.
• June 1, 2024 – earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees.

Note: Colleges require ENG 4C for admission. Some programs have math and science requirements. Please see the DM website(Student Services Tab) for dates,  additional information and resources.
