Starvathon @ Denis Morris Catholic HS

For more than four decades, Denis Morris has organized Starvathon as a means of raising both money for and awareness of the plight of the poor in the Developing World and here at home. Over these years, Starvathon has been recognized as a pillar of the Catholic-Christian life of Denis Morris Catholic High School.

With recent world events and crises, the monetary need of the projects we are supporting is greater than ever. Starvathon has pledged major commitment to the following DM supported projects:

  • Wells of Hope Projects (Guatemala)
  • Ecole Immaculee Conception (Pilate, Haiti)

This years theme was ‘Joyful Justice’ and “Right Now”. Finally, the needs of our local and additional global charities are increasing. With the proceeds from Starvathon we will continue our sponsorship of many local and global charities as needs arise.

The event is held at the school and we encourage all students to participate. The evening will be one of information and activity.  Participants will receive 6 hours of Christian Community Service.
