Student Success
The Denis Morris community is dedicated to helping students succeed in high school. Our Student Success Team (SST), is a committed team consisting of the school Administration, Student Success Teacher, Program Chair of Student Services, Special Education Teacher, Child and Youth Worker, School Nurse, Co-op Teacher and School Chaplain. The team supports student success through a multifaceted pyramid of interventions. The interventions can include individualized timetabling, alternative academic programming, linking students to needed community agencies, post-secondary pathway planning in addition to school based supports and programs. Our Student Success initiatives share a common goal with students and parents in that we are dedicated to all students reaching their potential.
Alternative Programming Includes: Supervised Alternative Learning – SAL, Student Success Class, Cooperative Education, Niagara Link, Dual Credits, FNMI Soaring Eagles Program, Young Parent Program, and Jump Start through Pope Francis Centre.
