TTJ3C - Transportation Technology - Auto mechanics (College):

This course enables students to develop technical knowledge and skills as they study, test, service, and repair engine, electrical, suspension, brake, and steering systems on vehicles, aircraft, and/or watercraft. Students will develop communication and teamwork skills through practical tasks, using a variety of tools and equipment. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to transportation, and will learn about apprenticeship and college programs leading to careers in the transportation industry.

TTJ3CA - Transportation Technology - Auto mechanics (College):

This course examines the various types of land, air, and/or marine vehicles and vehicle systems found within the transportation sector. Students will acquire identification, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing skills that meet industry standards and government regulations. In addition to developing employability and technical skills, they will explore the broad range of career opportunities within this sector, and will examine the impact of the transportation sector on people, society, and the environment. 2 CREDITS

TTJ3CA - Technological Education  (College):

* This program is a two-credit package (220 hours) available at the Grade 11 level. This course enables students to develop technical knowledge and skills as they study, test, service, and repair engine, electrical, suspension, brake, and steering systems on vehicles, aircraft, and/or watercraft. Students will develop communication and teamwork skills through practical tasks, using a variety of tools and equipment. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to transportation, and will learn about apprenticeship and college programs leading to careers in the transportation industry. This course helps a Catholic school student to become a self-directed, responsible, lifelong learner who demonstrates a confident and positive sense of self and respect for the dignity and welfare of others. This is an emphasis course within Transportation Technology concentrating on light aircraft. Ministry course expectations must be met in order for students to earn these credits.
